When I talk about The Forgotten Chapel, I’m really talking about the world I’ve been building with the people who believe in me the most. This album isn’t just my music — it’s the result of a collective that feels more like a family, each of us bringing something different, something powerful, something essential.

Mark Morgan has been at the centre of that from day one. He told me straight away, “You will only work with the best musicians.” And he meant it. He’s never once lowered the bar. He’s never once let me settle. Mark sees the bigger picture of who I am and who I can become, and he’s built an environment where excellence is the only language we speak.

And then there’s Jan Tabecki — my musical director, my pianist, and honestly he's our secret weapon. Jan is a genius. There’s no other word for him. He creates the music scores for all my songs, he recruits the musicians who play with us, and he shapes the emotional backbone of everything I sing.

Mark said something to me early on that I’ll never forget: “Jan has two hands, but when you hear him play the piano, you’ll think he plays with three.” It’s true. When Jan plays, it feels like the music is alive — like it’s breathing, like it’s telling its own story.

Working with Mark and Jan has changed me. It’s made me braver. It’s made me sharper. It’s made me realise that my voice is only one part of something much bigger. We’re a collective — Alexandra, Mark, Jan — each of us pushing the others forward, each of us committed to making something extraordinary.

And that’s exactly what The Forgotten Chapel is. This album is going to be absolutely brilliant. I know that sounds bold, but I feel it in my bones. The opening track — the title track — is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever been part of. It’s cinematic, emotional, spiritual… it’s the kind of song that stops you in your tracks and makes you listen.
